Coverage Area

Here’s a rough map of the area we cover. If you’re just outside the circle we may still be able to offer our service to you for a small extra charge. Please ask for details.

SaveMyPhotos provides a photograph scanning service, with your pictures converted to digital jpeg images.

Our service is only available locally in the Skipton, Ilkley and Keighley areas. We’re based in Silsden, on the West Yorkshire-North Yorkshire border and our personal collection and return service is available within 15 miles of Silsden (BD20 0AL).

We know how important your old photos are to you, so we don’t do posting or couriers. We’ll personally meet you to collect your photos and confirm your requirements. Then we’ll return your photos in person, along with a copy of the scanned digital images as jpeg files on a USB memory stick or DVD.

Stuart Clarkson

Stuart Clarkson

SaveMyPhotos is run by Stuart Clarkson, an experienced broadcast journalist, graphic designer and PR/Marketing consultant. After a career change in Summer 2013 to become a stay-at-home Dad to two toddlers, I invested in a professional bulk photo scanner so that I could digitise my family’s 8,000+ old photographs. It was far quicker than doing them individually on a flatbed scanner – and, crucially, meant I didn’t have to post them off somewhere and risk the family memories being lost or damaged in transit.

Now that my family photos are preserved for the future and I can access them at the click of mouse, I wanted to help other families locally do the same, so set up SaveMyPhotos.co.uk, which I run from home alongside my other freelance work.

I offer high quality personal service, with the emphasis on ensuring that your treasured photos are not lost, damaged or mixed up as part of the digitising process. I will personally collect your photos from your home, workplace or agreed public meeting place and once the job is done I will return them to you in the same way.

See theĀ How It Works page for details on the process from start to finish as well as a guide on what you need to do to prepare your photographs for me to scan.
